A Trip to the Mountains

Last weekend, we packed our bags and went into the mountains. Our cabin was cozy, located inside a small forest. It was very quiet, with a lake near the cabin. The view of the mountains was amazing, and we couldn’t wait to explore. My little brother quickly jumped off the porch and ran onto the trail to start hiking.

As we walked, we saw a river flowing out from the mountains. The kids stopped to play outside while the adults took pictures. A wooden bridge stretched over the river, and we carefully walked across it. We saw a few hikers passing past us, heading up the mountain. They said they had been hiking since the morning.

The trail took us through a dense forest, where we found many birds and squirrels. Throughout the hike, we stopped to rest and enjoy snacks. The wind blew to the top of the trees, and we noticed how the leaves seemed to move toward the sunlight.

By lunchtime, we sat under a large tree for shade. The dog found a cool spot underneath a bush, enjoying the breeze. We stayed there relaxing until everyone was ready to continue. Climbing up the hill, we found a lookout point. Standing upon the rocks, we could see the entire valley below us.

Later, we played a game with sticks and stones, building small towers. Within a few minutes, everyone was laughing and having fun. It felt so peaceful being away from the noise of the city. We realized we could enjoy life without phones or distractions.

The mountains were calm and beautiful, like a painting. The air felt as fresh as a cool morning breeze. When it was time to leave, we all agreed that we would return soon for another adventure.
